Goodbye to…
Rosie, Fluffy and Pretty our very gorgeous chicks. The chicks hatched a few weeks ago in Reception class and have been cared for by children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. We have all become quite besotted by them and are sad to say goodbye. The chicks are returning to Mile Oak farm so they can join the rest of the chickens.
We’ll Meet Again
Year 6 performed for their parents and Years 1 and 5 in assembly today. Their excellent assembly was based on their Learning Journey ‘We’ll Meet Again’ with poems and songs reminding us of the hardships children faced during World War 2.
Snowman Winner
Mr Dyer has been running a competition on the school website for the best snowman. The winner of the best snowman or rather a snowcat is Beatrice Dickie in Reception. Have a look at the winning snowcat and the other entries on the Middle Street website.

The Middle Street football team played Queens Park Primary School on Wednesday. Sadly they didn’t win but had a great time none the less.

Lots of children are bringing chewing gum in to school at the moment and attempting to chew it! Children, chewing gum is not allowed! Please do not bring it to school. If you chew gum in school you will lose some of your Golden Time!

Contact Numbers Please
We have had a few problems recently contacting parents of children who have become ill during the day. Please could you ensure we have at least 2 emergency numbers of people you are happy to collect and care for your child if you are not available.
Have You Lost..
A new set of oven racks and grill pan? We found the shrink wrapped pack of the above items in the junior cloakroom area and we have had it for some time. I have to say this is the most unusual lost property item I have come across in school, ever!
